“Fabulous Hotel in Downtown Chicago”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

We stayed the weekend of May 16-18th, 2014 for a quick weekend in town. The hotel staff were incredible gracious, accommodating and helpful The rooms are large, airy, very comfortable with luxurious beds. The room has water, coffee tea and a refrigerator for your own stocked items. Just steps from Magnificent Mile. We will definitely stay again! Great value for the price!

We stayed the weekend of May 17-19th, 2014 for a quick weekend in town. The hotel staff were incredible gracious, accommodating and helpful with suggestions for dinner, how to get a cab - the valet stood out in traffic for 5 minutes at the peak of dinner to get us a cab - who does that?! This hotel does. The rooms are large, airy, very comfortable with a very luxurious bed. The room has water, coffee tea and a refrigerator for your own stocked items. Just steps from 1 Magnificent Mile. We will definitely stay again! Great value for the price! Peggy

This hotel was one of the best priced on the Magnificent Mile. It is just a block away from Michigan Avenue, and it is almost midpoint between Millenium Mile and the Hancock Center. For a hop-off point to visit the sites, this place is hard to beat.
The hotel was clean, very comfortable, and quiet. It has a nice pool and small gym. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. For the price that weekend, it couldn't be beat.

This is a hotel that could have a lot going for it given that it is close to the Magnificent Mile and many central Chicago points of interest.
However, the rooms are enough to depress a born optimist. Dull, poorly laid out, stale and left me with the feeling to find somewhere else to be as long as possible. Oddly the hotel is only 4 floors or so yet it looks larger but that is because it is attached to a garage. Really object to seeing pool users in limited dress on every elevator. Finally, if you plan to use the elevators, give yourself a little time as they are SLOOOW.
Positive - very friendly and decent independent place for breakfast is available thru a doconnecting door

Room Tip: Try to get something that doesnt look out on a gray roof top

Green Features: Self serving dribble. Dislike that someone advises me to save the earth by reusing towels. So called environmental policies are either mandated by local or state rules or imposed by management to squeeze a few more $$ out of the property.

Our first trip to downtown Chicago, and we were novices (to say the least). We were travelling with 2 teen agers, and 3 children, 11, and 4. It was mandatory we had a hotel with a pool. The pool was small, but, the kids had a ball. The staff was always smiling, and helpful. I had read other reviews, so had asked for a room with a view (it faced the street rather than a brick wall), and we were able to look down and see people walking, going to restaurants, etc. We uypgraded our room to include parking, and found that very convenient since we were travelling in a caravan of 2 cars, and in and out to many events. I would highly recommend it. A special shout out to Jocelyn (same name as my granddaughter, Jocelynn - she loved that)

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view.

There are many good things about this location - close to everything, with Trader Joe's in the same building. The parking is outrageous - USD50, for self-parking, and they do make you sign the document that you've heard the price right :) The other good thing about the hotel is the front desk staff - cheerful, helpful, considerate.
The rest is quite shabby - heavily stained carpets, old furniture, aged decors. So go out, enjoy Chicago, sleep and leave.

Affordable hotel in the heart of the Magnificent Mile. The staff Sheria, Jared, Dee and Kareem are very helpful and can point you in any direction. We had to come back after checkout and they assisted us with that. They even held onto our bags. They were all knowledgable about sightseeing and area attractions. I will definitely make the Four Points my Chicago hotel. It's fantastic!
