I know Tiki bars are the rage and this place totally reminded me of that Tiki caves Brady Bunch episode. It’s hard to find as it has a speakeasy style barely marked entry in the alleyway. You descend into a basement filled with bamboo and lots of skulls. Not scary but a bit creepy.
Servers are dressed in bikinis to show off their assets well (no complaints except I hope they didn’t freeze in those outfits during a Chicago winter). The menu has a series of traditional tiki bar drinks such as a Mai Tai along with those obnoxiously large drink bowls for sharing for 2 or more people. Each drink comes in a unique glass —usually a tiki style idol of some kind.
Personally this isn’t my style of drink as they are very sweet (and mostly ice). You come here for the atmosphere and to have an immersive experience rather than an artisan cocktail.
Nonetheless it’s quite a fun place for a group of people.
