“So delicious!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

Dinner at this restaurant is always a treat. I have gone with family and friends and it never disappoints. It is one of my favorite places to take people while visiting Chicago.

“A long one year wait”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013 via mobile

I have waited one year to get back. The atmosphere is dark and enchanting, the food is amazing. The halfpounder has doorknob sized mushrooms and smothered with cheese. Wow. Get the flatbread-it takes up half the table.

“Our new favorite!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

We first heard about this place on the Food Network years ago, but finally went this past year. It was the best experience. The place is tiny so you'll always have a wait, but it is a cozy atmosphere and you won't mind. The host won't take your name, but don't worry, he'll come find you and everytime our wait has been much shorter than we were told. The pizza is amazing, but even better is the Mediterranean bread! Get a bottle of wine and take your time!

“NOT WORTH IT”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

Please go anywhere else in the city for Pizza...this place had a ridiculous wait and the pizza pot pies were filling and you could say they were a good value as far as quantity, but the taste was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the wait. We only had a few meals in the city and were really sad we wasted one of them on this tourist trap.

“Not your average pizza joint”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We loved it but be aware that it is cash only is located in a basement and has an unusual pizza menu. Pizzas are baked in a pot like a pot pie and were inverted to be served by wait staff. Fresh fillings, veggie options available including sauce. Quality/taste unusual but really great! Of note was the enormous salad (we ordered a "small") that fed 6 of us and had everyting you could imagine on it (there is a selection of different types of salads). Oven grinders looked incredible and we saw lots of food being taken home by over- zealous diners. Tight quarters, no reservations and can be a long wait, especially for groups of more than 4 (previously waited 90 minutes and this time around 30 mins at 3 pm on a Sunday) but really worth it. Bar well stocked and staff gave good service and were pleasant despite the busy atmosphere. Definitely worth another visit (2 of our party drove an hour each way to come to lunch with us).
