After a day of walking around downtown Chicago (11/24/12), my husband and I wanted to grab a bit to eat before going to a theatre. We came upon Bijan's, and decided they had a diverse enough menu, and their prices were reasonable. The place isn't what I would normally consider to be a "bistro", but it was inviting and had a nice decor. I had a craving for just a simple cheeseburger and fries, you know, a good bar burger. Despite this place having the name "bistro" as part of the title, I decided to still order the cheeseburger. Oh my gosh....I have no regrets of ordering the cheeseburger & fries. I don't eat burgers very often anymore, but the burger I had is making my mouth water now just thinking about it. And, I ate the whole thing, all 10 ounces of it along with all the fries. My husband asked where I put it all. It was scrumptious, delicious, juicy and I could go on and on.
The ONLY reason I'm marking this place down was when we first went in and asked to look at the menu, the host left me with the impression that we were putting him out by asking to look at the menu, and almost as if he were a little irritated that we asked to look at the menu. He did follow up with us at the end of our meal to ask how the food was, but you only get one chance at a "first impression".
All in all, I would definitely go to this place again, especially if I was craving a good burger. The burger was awesome!!
