“Love this place - and I'm NOT vegetarian/vegan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014

I'm obsessed with this place, and I'm far from a vegetarian/vegan. I went with a veggie friend once and absolutely loved it. While the "meat" options don't really taste like actual meat, you don't miss the meat with the flavors they are able to develop. Everything is so fresh and delicious. My favorite are the sweet potato quesadillas. The menu changes seasonally so you never get bored!

It is a tiny shoebox of a place with a beautiful back patio for more seating. If going in the winter when the patio is closed, you may encounter a long wait.

“Delicious Meatless Restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Loved the ambiance of this place. Great location, excellent selection and their veggie burger is to die for. Not your typical boca burger-- you can tell they put a lot of time and crafting into their food. Healthy but tastes just as good and is just as filling as other diners.

“Yum.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2014

Had the Reuben sandwich on the recommendation of other travellers...so good. I recommend going more than once if you are into veggie food. I think it is a vegetarian icon!

“Great food, veg or not”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

Today we are at Chicago Diner during a quick trip to Chicago. This place, and the Art Institute of Chicago, was on our destination list. We arrived around brunch on Sunday ready for anything. The food was just as good as I had hoped. There were so many creative choices on the menu it took a while to choose so the honest waiter helped is make up our minds. Easy going service and atmosphere. We are road tripping here again in 2 weeks an will definitely be coming back.

“I really miss The Chicago Diner”

The country fried steak dinner was just like the real deal. Great atmosphere and the employees are having fun too. Overall, this vegan restaurant might be the best in the nation.
