“Tasting Menu is the Thing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

This slightly out of the way restaurant is worth the trip. While it looks walkable from downtown, out hotel advised taking a cab for safety reasons and it seemed warranted once it was dark. We opted for the tasting menu with accompanying wines. Food allergies were thoughtfully attended to. Every dish was very good to excellent and the wine pairings were at times unconventional but interesting and appropriate. The quail and monk fish were standouts. Though the menu changes here so frequently that you should not have your heart set on any one dish but be open to the experience. This is a restaurant with a loyal local following, and is a rare find - a fine dining experience at which children are welcome. Highly recommended. there is good food and comparative value to be had here.

“Cool loft restaurant with a busy vibe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Nice decor with the exposed brick and 3 levels of seating. Waitstaff is attentive if a bit scattered on occasion. Nice choice of meals whether you do tasting or a la carte. Highly recommend the beet salad and the octopus appetizers. Short rib was quite good as well. Pommes frites are tasty but I wish they would offer a spicy ketchup as well as the truffle cream with them. Good for couples or adult families as well as a business dinner.

“Fine Dining Disappointment”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

In celebrating a birthday here, found the food quality has slipped since prior visits. Several dishes were over salted and the desserts lacked bold flavors. Some On-Line menu items not offered though restaurant had advised on- line menu was current. Service was attentive though kitchen was slow with entrees; it took over 2hrs for a three course meal. Ambience remains a highlight, with only slight noise level considering the open space, and high ceilings. Street parking available, with valet service also offered.

“Excellent meal again ORDER THE FRIES”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013 via mobile

Visiting for fourth time and still excellent. Sleek atmosphere with good service and excellent upscale menu. Food well presented and tastes great. A good feel restaurant but on the expensive side. Leave the kids home as this is not for them
THE BEST are the fries ( forget the side of truffle aioli) I live in maryland but more yrs ago then I can believe I lived in Coney Island NY A taste of the fries instantly brings memories of the original NATHAN'S fries in the paper cone
