“Authentic Mexican, Family Restaurant.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

We go to Nuevo Leon when we want good authentic Mexican food. Homemade tortillas, refried beans, etc. Waitress usually brings a free appetizer (soup, tostadas, etc) with the chips, salsa and pickled jalapenos. The basics are all good. I highly recommend the Camerones con Ajo and the Carne Asada.

We always get an excellent meal at a great value!!!

“Fantastic homemade food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012 via mobile

This is a fantastic Mexican restaurant. The service was excellent. The atmosphere layed back, but Oh what wonderful food and the pricing just right. For 12.00 dollars I had chips with homemade salsa, homemade chicken noodle soup and a hugh main course of chicken fajita with homemade flour tortillas. Can't wait to go back.

“Best Mexican food in Chicago”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

This simple, inexpensive family style restaurant in the heart of Pilsen (Chicago's Mexican neighborhood) provides the very best Mexican food in town. Homemade everything, from chips to salsa. Especially fine mole. There is always a free amuse to start one's meal which constantly changes. Incredible value for the money. This morning's fulsome breakfast cost me $8 including tax and tip. BYOB. Cash only.

“Great little find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Great little find in Pilsen. A co-worker took me here the first time, with a group from work. She was excited to take us to a "home town" place. She grew up in the neighborhood and still travels back on Sunday's for breakfast after church even though she's almost an hour away!
We had dinner and it was amazing. The service was great, the food fresh, and everything was so flavorful. I was shocked how affordable they were as well.
We went back this Sunday for breakfast. Once again I was in heaven with the meal. The scrambled eggs with shredded steak was delicious. There was a line out the door to wait for a table. The crow is very mixed and super friendly despite waiting in line to be seated.
