“Great Spot for a Very Satisfying Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014

This is a great place to grab a hearty and satisfying breakfast relatively quickly. I had tried the airport location before and was unimpressed. But this place presented a completely different approach to the poorly-managed airport spot. This location was around the corner from my hotel. The exterior was attractive and the interior dining area was quite nice and presented a comfortable atmosphere with spacious seating. I did not realize the extent of the offerings they presented for breakfast but I was certainly favorably impressed. I went here with my colleague and we each tried the Farmer's Scramble which included scrambled eggs with vegetables accompanied by nicely done breakfast potatoes and a slice of whole grain toast. It was very filling and very tasty. The coffee was also quite decent. The gentleman who took our order at the counter was polite and efficient. Our meals was ready very quickly. The prices were also very attractive as one can easily eat breakfast here for less then $10 per person. I would definitely keep this place in mind as a very good alternative to the higher-priced options.

“Be careful on a saturday”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2014

I am a big Corner Bakery fan. They have a great breakfast selection at a very reasonable price. Their pannini's are excellently flavored with a good breads and fillings. The service however can leave a lot to be desired. Was there on a Saturday morning and not 1, not 2 but 3 big containers of coffee were completely out leaving no coffee for the costumers during breakfast. When notified of the situation no one seemed particularly concerned. This was very disappointing.

“Corner Bakery”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

This place used to be excellent, but since the chain changed hands the quality has fallen off. I don’t know, but I suspect that management has compromised the ingredients. The staff is helpful, as they always were, but the food is not the same. Everything out of the kitchen seems to be falling into mediocrity here. This is a loss to Corner Bakery lovers everywhere.. When Lettuce Entertain You owned it, it was great. No more. It is starting to feel like McDuh.

“Live This Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

We go here every time we're in Chicago. They always seem to be busy but have very quick service and are always friendly. I love the yogurt parfaits. The fruit is always fresh and tastes great year round. They never use frozen fruit. The baked goods are a hit with my kids.
We've never gone for lunch but they look like they have a nice selection of sandwiches.
We'll be back in the morning!!

“Perfect for breakfast before shopping”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

We stayed at the Hyatt and would recommend this place to visitors on their way to Michigan Avenue. It is right across the street and has a nice selection of pastries, egg dishes, oatmeal, and fruit - something for the whole family. The breakfast sandwiches were tasty but the best value was the steel cut oatmeal with fruit. It is served in a large deep bowl and was more than enough for breakfast and a great value at under $5.00. Very similar to Panera but nicer.
