“Great place away from home!”

What a bar! Great atmosphere, super food and service . Some great dishes, try the famous meatloaf or the hot wings! This place just can't be faulted. Great bar staff and waiters.

“Lunch Time Peace”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012

I dined here with my husband to relax and get a bite to eat before we continued our bike ride across the city. I was surprised at how low the prices were because the inside was so nice and regal looking. They have a lot of salads and sandwich options so I got the Reuben and was definotely satisfied with the freshness and tenderness of the corned beef. My husband got a burger and it was cooked perfectly and he could barely finish it even though he wanted to. I want to go there for drinks and appetizers one night becasue the bar is gorgeous and the seating was intimate and open.

“Attractive holiday ambiance while waiting for theatric production”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2011

The restaurant is owned by the same proprietor as the Mercury Theater. Patrons can wander between venues and carry a beverage into the theater. The food was good and the decorations were lovely. Service good, little waiting. I attended "The Christmas Schooner" next door at the Mercury and it was teriffic!

“Like being in a pub in Ireland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2011

This is a regular stop for us when we go to Chicago. A quaint bar/pub in the Southport area near Wrigley Field. They have great food, service and atmosphere. Sandwiches, salads, burgers are all good. We particularly like some of the English/Irish inspired dishes such as the Shepard's Pie, Meatloaf, Chicken Pot Pie, and Fish & Chips - all fabulous. Bloody Mary's are the best. Casual neighborhood place with lots of atmosphere!
