If you want guaranteed top service, great atmosphere, attentive staff, ideal location and the best bed in the city, then the Hard Rock is for you. We love to stay here when we viist because we always receive Rock Star service! they have a happening bar in the lobby and now a great new restaurant - Chuck's Manufacturing. The menu and food are excellent! This place truly rocks in every way!

This is one hip place. Definitely worth a night.
Parking is a problem. I recommend you leave your car for free somewhere in the suburbs and take the El downtown.
We slept under a life-sized photo of Marilyn Manson in all his odd-pupiled glory. I had to put up a t-shirt over him because his eyes kinda glowed in the dark. CREEEPY.
Expect loud neighbors. C;mon, it's the HARD ROCK! Frankly, we should have joined them.
Their branded liquor is very tasty.

Great hotel. Staff is helpful, positive, and friendly. Rooms are clean and nicely designed. Room #1901 on a corner high floor was great; more like a studio suite! Free wifi with direct booking on the HRH website is key. The location of this hotel is PERFECT. Walking distance to numerous tourist sites, restaurants, public transit, and other convenience stores is PERFECT! I can't imagine a better location in Chicago. Walked to Blue Chicago, The Purple Pig, Gino's East, The Art Institute, Cloud Gate.., the list goes on. Further, the hotel's proximity to public transportation makes it even better; especially if you need to attend a conference at McCormick Place. (Just take the Metra across the street for an 8 minute ride.) The value of this hotel for everything you get is exceptional. I'll be back!

Great facilty in a very handsome building. Check in was great (but the clerk neglected to give us the free wi-fi access codes. At check out the charges were removed. Desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room (premium 2 queen) was HUGE - more like a studio suite. We had a corner room on the 15th (Elvis) floor with three windows facing Michigan Avenue and two on the side. Not much of a view, but we could see part of Soldier Field. The room was very clean. Bedding was very clean and fresh and beds were comfortable. Nice assortment of pillows to choose from. Bathroom was clean, the shower was a HUGE walk-in. Only negative in there was poor lighting (but that seems to plague every hotel bathroom) and lack of vanity top space.
Great location. Valet parking is outrageously expensive ($50/night) but you do get in and out privileges. I'm sure you could find cheaper parking, but who knows how far you might have to haul your luggage.

I would definitely stay there again.
