“Conveniently located.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

Stayed at this hotel over the past weekend while in town for a seminar. I found the hotel to be perfectly located for my particular needs on this trip. They are a quick 15min shuttle run from ORD and a quick 5min walk from the blue line train which runs right into downtown Chicago. While at the hotel i tried the restaurant for breakfast, the bar for a drink and appetizer and I ordered a dessert through room service. For breakfast I purchased the all included deal for $17 which included the omelets made to order, pancakes made to order, and a good selection of breakfast items in a buffet all you can eat set up. It also included a glass of juice and refillable coffee. Everything tasted very good and i found it to be a good value. At the bar, I had an import beer and the fish tacos that were very very tasty. Again, very pleased with the taste and value. Now, being a platinum Marriott member I was given the upgrade to the concierge lounge floor even though the lounge was closed for the weekend, which was ok with me. The room very spacious and accommodating. I did notice some peeling in the bathroom ceiling, possibly from water damage that should be fixed but otherwise the room was very up to date. Overall, this property worked well for my needs on this trip.

After I read other reviews, I was a little hesitant. But, I found it to be a wonderful experience.
Clean, spacious, comfortable room with a large shower... No issues with water pressure...Everything in working order...Zero noise from ORD or train.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
A 3 minute walk and you're standing at the Blue line station. Regarding there being nothing around the property...the Rosemont exit of the Blue line is 3 minutes away with dozens of places to eat at within walking distance.
Nice, small hot breakfast buffet.
Would DEFINITELY return!

Pleasant, relatively small property, in a great near airport location. Nice and quiet rooms, good bedding, and helpful staff. Just what most business travelers want. I would happily stay here again for convenient access to ORD, and a good nights sleep. Scheduled shuttle.

I stayed here for business. The room was very nice though the door to the room had difficulty closing which was fixed the second day I was there. The service overall was excellent. The one complaint I had was the lack of water pressure, particularly the hot water pressure. The shower was very large with a nice shower head but the pressure for hot water was little more than a dribble for the entire stay. Would I stay here again. Yes...by myself. If the water was fixed I would take my wife.

The hotel provided a shuttle service from the airport and there was a train station with a short walking distance to the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions and places to eat. The two room suite was spacious but could have used an updating. The bathroom was large but poorly lit. Lobby was nicely appointed and provided a large space to sit and gather with other guests. All in all, a pleasant experience.

My husband and I were at this hotel for the American Board of Radiology exam. During our first night (the night before the exam), we woke up at 2am COVERED in bug bites. This hotel is disgusting. We checked out of the hotel as soon as possible and were assured that we would not be charged for our sleepless night at this roach motel. However, there's a charge on my credit card and the hotel just informed me that I have to speak with corporate accounting to try to get a refund. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Holiday Inn or anywhere else!

We recently stayed at the Renaissance for my daughters birthday. We arrived late, but the lady at the registration desk set us up with a corner room on the 14th floor. We were blown away with the size of the room. We had a conference table, desk, sofa and TV in one room, a separate bedroom and a large bathroom. The windows on two sides were amazing.

The room was clean and modern with two flat screen tv's, coffee maker, and even a surround sound stereo system with speakers hooked up to the TV in the larger room. The cool thing is you can control the individual temperature in each room to make them as cool or warm as you would like. The sofabed was atrocious. The mattress was so thin you could feel each spring and rod that my 10yo and 7yo kids had trouble sleeping. I personally didn't care for the king bed either, a little to soft for my liking. Being right next to highway 90, you can hear when large trucks or loud motorcycles go by. The AC does help drown it out, but for light sleepers it can be a problem.

We actually ordered room service at 9:59pm and they were so accommodating they let us order off the entire menu. It did take about 45min to get the food, but it was pretty good for rm service.

Overall, its a nice hotel in a remote location, located in between a group of office buildings. The parking is $24/night and is in a garage attached to the hotel. There are no restaurants w/in walking distance so you would have to drive. It is very close to the metro rail, so if you need to get to downtown chicago or the airport that is very convenient.

Room Tip: Try to get a corner room on a high floor
