“Excellent Lincoln Park location with friendly/helpful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

This hotel is right across from the Lincoln Park Zoo area and within walking distance of many restaurants and entertainment venues like Second City and Park West. The service was friendly and cheerful, and we were pleased with our room upgrade to a comfortable suite with two bathrooms. The rooftop lounge has beautiful views of the lake and city, and the walking paths around the zoo are an added bonus.

This is a great hotel if you want to stay away from the touristy Michigan ave yet stay close to nice restaurants and boutiques.
Stylish hotel, great views and walking distance to to shops and restaurants!

We arrived a little flustered - in the middle of the city with a rental car we had just driven across the country in, packed full of our things! A friendly concierge helped us unpack all our luggage and even took our inflatable bed and sleeping bags we had used for camping off our hands! The front desk staff were equally as friendly and unbelievably helpful. Our room wasn't quite ready so we were offered a discounted upgrade if we wanted to check in immediately. Since we were tired from our travels we decided to take the offer - something we certainly wouldn't regret! The suite had a beautiful view over the city, a large sofa for relaxing and even two separate bathrooms. The decor was quirky and original, but made you feel right at home. It ended up being the perfect place to relax at the end of our long days exploring the city. Part of the way through our trip our cold water tap started only running steaming hot - the hotel managed this problem wonderfully, bringing us bottle water to drink and eventually fixing it all together. The front desk were so helpful, we really couldn't fault their service at all. We tried out the hotels coffee shop and roof top bar - both of which were great. Even the room service was of a high standard. We used the fitness centre everyday at various times and we were always able to use the equipment we wanted. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough, be your stay in Chicago for business or pleasure, you won't regret choosing the Hotel Lincoln. I'm already planning my return visit!

This is a cute happening hotel in the the Old Town area of Chicago. You can walk to many restaurants and shops. The rooftop lounge was great with fabulous views over the city. It is very crowded but the drinks are good and it's a fun place to hang out. The coffee shop Elaine's is very convenient to grab breakfast and take back to your room. The staff is friendly and the decor is trendy and modern. I would stay here again.

We once stayed in this hotel a few years ago. It's in a great Lincoln Park location; the rooms were clean and acceptable but tiny.

This time, we were upgraded to a Junior Suite. It was clean, roomy, had a comfortable queen or king bed, a nice couch and chairs, a desk, a coffeemaker, 2 baths- one with sink, toilet and shower and another with toilet and sink. The color scheme was lovely and the view of Lake Michigan even better.

The reception desk staff was friendly and prompt. The restaurant (Perennial) was wonderful; had a breakfast and brunch there.

For the additional dollars we will gladly book the junior suite again.

Room Tip: Ask for a junior suite with a Lake View-- we loved it!

We stayed for the weekend it was a great hotel for the location. The staff treated us great and we loved the dogs around and inside the hotel. We were not crazy about the rooftop lounge but everything else involving the decor of this hotel was excellent and the lot of fun.

Location is fantastic. I walked to the free zoo. Upon arrival, I was upgraded to a suit, for free. I was then delivered a bottle of wine from the front desk for being a club member. Great price. Great staff. Great coffee shop. The barista was awesome.
