I found the hotel to be very clean. The room was small, but well equipped. Internet was available in a business center in the lobby. I was vacationing so this was not a problem for me. The mattress was firm, but that is my preference. I felt it was a great central location and within walking distance of the Chicago Art Museum and the Mag. Mile. On site restaurant was good as well.

I would highly recommend you this hotel. It's in really nice location to down town Chicago and rooms are really tidy and modern. I liked big bath room. Free wireless internet and laundry were really nice. They have nice cold drinking water in the hallway. Gim opens 5AM-10 PM. I will definetly come back here!!

I tried them three times and each time they messed up my reservation. Since my flight time gets me to the hotel about midnight there is little room for error - one time they actually checked me and sent me upstairs to a room that hadn't been cleaned. Going back and forth to the lobby after a long day of travel is not my idea of good service. This last time - and it will be the LAST time- I had reserved a studio room, I had called the day of arrival to confirm that they had my reservation correct, was assured that they did, only to arrive at midnight and find that they were completely full and the only room available was a smaller room - which they thought they would charge me the higher rate for. To put a bad punctuation mark on a bad entry there was no internet available in that tiny room. I had not had that problem before, two calls to the front desk and the problem was still NOT resolved by morning. I would NOT recommend this hotel. The beds are pretty hard which some people like.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. A small picture and some customer reviews on the internet didn't seem like much to go on, but it is a very nice place. The location is fabulous. The rooms are small, but not too small. The only thing that was difficult was the showers. The shower head is mounted on the wrong wall of the shower and the water sprays into the room. I kept thinking, is there something I don't understand? But we turned it sideways and we managed. The quality of everything else was great, and the views are the best ever. The restaurant downstairs was very good too. I had one desk clerk go out of his way to help me when internet service was down.

Just returned from 1 night at River Hotel/Club Quarters. Not sure whether there are two separate hotels or what, but our reservation was with River Hotel, and we checked in at their desk, but it said Club Quarters near the elevators on the left, which we took to our room.

We had requested a river view/Trump-Tower-view room and we got that with no problems; wonderful view from our 18th floor room. The folks who say the rooms are small are correct, but it was fine with us. (We could have upgraded for $15, but we chose not to. We thought our rate of $99 was a great value.

The queen bed was very comfortable. There is a comfortable chair near the window, and a chair at the "business" desk. The doorway to the bathroom was quite narrow, so a very large person might not like it. I liked the shower; I don't think I have ever in 40+ years of traveling taken a bath in a hotel bathroom, so who needs a bathtub?

The people in the reception area were not overly friendly, but were polite when answering several questions and selling me stamps.

Bella Bacina, the restaurant, was excellent; friendly staff and excellent reasonably-priced food. Sitting outside was very nice. We ate dinner there; they also serve breakfast and lunch.

Someone mentioned using your room key in the elevator was a hassle, but it's a darn good security measure, so we didn't mind at all.
The only other minor negative: there is no fan in the bathroom. Again, not a big deal to us.

The location just can't be beat. We walked everywhere.
