Just returned from 1 night at River Hotel/Club Quarters. Not sure whether there are two separate hotels or what, but our reservation was with River Hotel, and we checked in at their desk, but it said Club Quarters near the elevators on the left, which we took to our room.
We had requested a river view/Trump-Tower-view room and we got that with no problems; wonderful view from our 18th floor room. The folks who say the rooms are small are correct, but it was fine with us. (We could have upgraded for $15, but we chose not to. We thought our rate of $99 was a great value.
The queen bed was very comfortable. There is a comfortable chair near the window, and a chair at the "business" desk. The doorway to the bathroom was quite narrow, so a very large person might not like it. I liked the shower; I don't think I have ever in 40+ years of traveling taken a bath in a hotel bathroom, so who needs a bathtub?
The people in the reception area were not overly friendly, but were polite when answering several questions and selling me stamps.
Bella Bacina, the restaurant, was excellent; friendly staff and excellent reasonably-priced food. Sitting outside was very nice. We ate dinner there; they also serve breakfast and lunch.
Someone mentioned using your room key in the elevator was a hassle, but it's a darn good security measure, so we didn't mind at all.
The only other minor negative: there is no fan in the bathroom. Again, not a big deal to us.
The location just can't be beat. We walked everywhere.
