got lucky when i chose to "name your price" on priceline. i chose the area of the city and bid 100. my bid was accepted. at first i was a bit hesitant because of some of the reviews that i had read (not necessarily on this site). however, i was pleasantly surprised. we stayed in a cityview room on the 19th floor. though not as amazing as a lake view, it was still great. you can enjoy the lake view at the elevator alcove where they provide a telescope. i would have gladly paid the standard rate for our room. we had a king sized bed, and the room was quite spacioius. although i could hear people in the adjoining rooms, during the early evening, it was silent when i went to sleep. the hotel is very trendy and hip. wireless is free in the living room (also wonderful for people watching). the staff was very helpful and courteous. the rooms were spotless. would definitely stay here again.

Overall, our stay was very pleasant. We encountered one hiccup and that was immediately addresses by Claudia at the concierge. I can't say enpugh of her. She even came up to our room and brought our delivery that was hung up at the security. Good service and personnel made this stay memorable. Keep investing on the best people.

I wanted to give a review since I almost canceled our stay due to the many negative ones listed on this site.

We were here to celebrate a 40th birthday. In total we had 5 rooms. We requested to stay in the same vicinity and we were all on the same floor. Requested the 2 complimentary Acura car rides which were prompt and pleasant. Requested coffee make and brought up in a timely manner. In other words, "the anything" requests were granted and we were very pleased with our experience.

The rooms were very contemporary. A bit worn but clean and comfortable (Love the bed!) I am a "Westin" girl and prefer the more traditional but I loved the "hip vibe" of the hotel lobby and atmoshere. My husband and I had a Marvelous suite with a great view of Lake Michigan and Navy Pier. It was also excellent to entertain the group before going out. Michigan Ave four blocks away so the location was pretty convenient.

Don't be frightened to give this place a try. We will certainly go back sometime!

The kids thought the hotel was very cool. They loved swimming in the pool and looking out the window in our room at the lake and Navy Pier.
