i travel 75 days a year or so, and i give this hotel a 5-star (especially in the "off-season" when the rates are lower). Its a beautiful time of the year to stay in downtown chicago, with the lights, the Christmas spirit and the energy. This hotel is 2 blocks off of michigan avenue. Especially of interest is the staff. The valet staff and the front desk staff are all extremely welcoming and very friendly, quick to offer a restaurant suggestion or a bottle of water. My very friendly host, Monica, suggested the best popcorn in the world (Garrett, just 1 block west), and offered a sample, which definately went above and beyond. For her hospitality alone, I would give it 6 stars, if available. Highly recommend Fairfield Inn & Suites Downtown Chicago, and I know I will be back (Next week, in fact)

From the minute we stepped off the motor coach, we were greeted by friendly helpful staff at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Chicago. The rooms were beautiful and the location was fantastic! There were restaurants and shopping all around the property. Our luggage arrived just shortly after we all got checked in with porters bringing the suitcase right inside our room and setting it on the luggage rack so we didn't have to lift it. We were there three nights and on one of the nights, one of customers was not feeling well. Again, they even checked on her to make sure she was getting better and brought refreshments right to the room. This is not Happy Trails Tours first time to the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Chicago and every time we've stayed there, we've never been disappointed. We'll certainly be back again.

Our stay was wonderful!!! Very trendy and new decor!! Beds were really comfortable and the ceilings were so high! Loved our stay!! The staff was wonderful! Special thanks to Jennifer, Carlos, Bianca, Kenny and Charles! We'll be back!!

I travel to Chicago frequently on business. This is my favorite place to stay by far. I joke and call it my Chicago home. The front desk knows me by name and has my favorite room ready for me. The loacation is great but actually its the oatmeal for breakfast that is my all time favorite. I have referred this location to many of my co workers.
