This museum is a gem. The house as built in the late 1870's and is restored to perfection. I love visiting old mansions and have done many, but I have to say that this is the finest in Chicago. The woodwork and marble are amazing and the history of the house is very interesting. I will be going to back to see this house decorated for the holidays. Well worth the price of admission to see how the "other half" used to live. I also like that they allow you to spend as much time as you like looking over the house. There is so much to absorb.
