“BONE. MARROW.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2013

OH MY GOD THE BONE MARROW. A few friends and I came here a couple months ago mainly to have drinks after dinner. But we were quickly distracted by the deliciousness on the menu and decided to order ourselves a second dinner, and THANK GOODNESS we did!!!! We ordered the bone marrow and the gnocchi with brown butter and summer squash. The gnocchi was the best I ever had, but it was quickly outshone by the bone marrow.

First of all, the bone marrow portion is HUGE and a great deal for the price. Maybe it's because I'm used to NYC prices on everything, but it was a ton of marrow. Secondly, it was prepared perfectly. The perfect balance of grilledness/roastedness/tenderness. OMG.

We were lucky to have gotten a table because it was a weekend around 8-9pm and we didn't have a reservation. It's definitely worth it, so get yourself a reservation and go eat bone marrow!!!!

“Nice find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

Our daughter suggested Maude's and we went there with the whole family. The service was excellent. The dinning rooms were very cool. We split courses for appetizers and dinner. The cocktails were excellent. Food prices were fair. Overall a very good experience and would definitely recommend.

“Cool and Sexy Place for dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013

Ate at Maude's last night. Downstairs is the bar and some tables, but upstairs, it is dark, and cool, and sexy. Read the menu with the candles on the table. Keith. our waiter, was nice, conversant and spot on. We shared the fois gras appetizer with sour cherry jam and lots of toasted bread(delicious) to spread the fois gras on , then the Cheese fondue with onions. Onion soup without the soup. Again, a baguette to scoop up the cheese. Yum. And finally, the mussels with some pretty terrific frites and aoli. More bread to sop up the great sauce from the mussels. A nice bottle of Cotes du Rohne, and coffee, no dessert .A terriffic meal on a rainy Wednesday night after a day of shopping. Place was packed when we left. Would come back.

“Oui Oui! Je t'aime!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

Absolutely loved the French bistro atmosphere at this Randolph street spot. Deliciously made cocktails and amazing plates. The mussels has this incredible spicy, tomatoy broth which I couldn't stop sopping up with their warm, crusty demi baguettes. The steak tartar was so tender and flavorful I just wanted to shovel it in with a spoon, but the amazing thickly cut toast corners were too delicious to not inhale. Escargot was bubbling hot and buttery. The lobster risotto was so creamy and lobster laden, even though the small plate was shared between four, I felt like I had an entire bowl because of its richness. This is a wonderful chill spot on Randolph, just west of halsted. Better make a reservation!
