We went on the Chicago Film Tour today, and it was a joy. The tour guide is a film critic for Hollywood Chicago, and he really knew his stuff, from basic movie plots and actor trivia to film industry history and Chicago-specific facts. He had us laughing quite a bit and always had interesting stories to fill up the spaces when traffic and/or construction delayed our journey. Would have loved to be able to go on the one specifically for The Blues Brothers, but this one was definitely satisfactory. Lots of movies we had seen and some we hadn't, but the on-screen presentation that went along with the tour was great because it showed the scenes from each movie that corresponded with the locations we could see out the windows. The only negative (minor) was that there weren't a lot of photo opportunities; however, the experience was so good that we were okay with not capturing many good photos.
