“Identity Crisis”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

Frankly, I am unsure of what they serve. Every time I go, they seem to serve different style. My co-workers told me that they serve Thai. To me, it seems closer to Chinese than Thai. Yet, they are not at all Chinese. At least, not any of the major styles of cooking that I am aware. The restaurant serves sushi. Does that make this a Japanese restaurant? They serve sushi, but they do very poor job of it. The fish on sushi lacks the same-day freshness. Furthermore, the sushi menu includes the usual items but, completely lacks any seasonal or specialty items. They may be serving raw fish over a rice ball. But, sushi, it is not.

As for the dishes, they can never do beef right. It is always tough and dry. For that matter, they can’t seem to do rice right either. Always overcooked or undercooked. And, they use the same rice that they serve with dishes in making sushi. For a sushi lover, this is a high sin.

I realize that they serve food. In fact, some people like it because they put up with the rude hostess that treat everyone as if cattle to be herded. So, they must be doing something right. For me, I am still puzzling over what I had. I guess they can call it the Fusion. After all, isn’t that what they call a poorly done hodge-podge of everything and charge real high premium?

“Worth the Wait”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

The concierge at the Palmer House Hilton recommended this to us three hungry for Thai food, and he didn't disappoint. It was easy to walk to. The line was long, but moved fast. The food was worth the wait - delicious - the sushi was fresh and light and delicious. I will recommend and will go back whenever I visit Chicago.

“Restaurant/Art Gallery”

Just the place to go to after the Art Institute or Millenium park. Food was great as well as the price and loved the art gallery of modern asian art. Well worth the visit.

“Average Asian food in an above-average location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

Have been to this location several times as I live a couple blocks away during the week. The food is fairly good, relative to the area and for the price. Nice atmosphere and service is generally good. My family enjoys this style of food, but we're no connoisseurs. We like the sushi rolls and edamame dishes/appetizers in particular. Generally a decent $15 meal (w/o drinks) in a great location.

“Pricey food but good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Chicago needs to understand that Sushi does not mean rolls. This is an ok food shop in a good location on michigan ave. They can make your food spicy on request and it actually is spicy which is the good thing about this shop.
