“Perfect Location, Great Service, Couldn't ask for more!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2011

I've been traveling to Chicago for years on a monthly basis, and started staying at this Club Quarters about a year ago. I will not stay anywhere else! Top Tier service beginning with hospitable front desk associates, spotless rooms, and every amenity you can ever need. Great proximity to business districts, as well as being minutes away from Chicago's best reataurants, shopping, etc...Overall, the value at Club Quarters on Wacker can't be beat.

Room Tip: Request a room overlooking the Chicago River.

Traveling on my own, so the small size of the room was no problem. I think it might have been a squeeze if I had two people staying in the Standard room. Bed was super comfortable. The free water bottles are a cool feature. Location is fabulous and everyone was so friendly. The lobby is gorgeous too! One complaint: TV did not have PBS. What????

Room Tip: Ask for a river view room

What a great surprise this hotel was. The staff were nice and professional the suite that we stayed in was furnished with everything we could need or want. The housekeeping was mostly good, a few missed cleaning spots, nothing big though. Our only complaint is the "king" bed was two twin beds put together, very uncomfortable. All in all and wonderful three night stay!

I stayed at the Club Quarters for 4 nights in mid-September while attending a conference up the street at the Hyatt. The price was decent, about $164+ per night, but the "Clubsize" rooms are small - only about 8 feet wide - although long enough for a bed, desk, closet and bathroom (with shower - no bathtub - the room is too narrow). My room had a coffeemaker, microwave, and mini-fridge, but I had to call the front desk to ask for an iron & ironing board (and a luggage rack). There are filtered water dispensers (free) and racks of plastic bottles in the elevator lobby on several floors, as well as in the 2nd floor club living room - a nice touch, one I'd never seen before in a hotel. My biggest problem was that I could never get the temperature in the room below 75 deg. I asked at the front desk on day 2 and they said they were "changing some rooms over from air conditioning to heat." Since the windows on the 22nd floor don't open, I had no option but to swelter, since I'd already unpacked and settled in and didn't want the hassle of having to move rooms. I did see a sign when i checked in saying "suite upgrades available tonight, as low as $10" and I should have looked into it, but didn't. Great location, right on the river across from Trump Tower. The shrimp risotto at Bella Bacina is very good, and Houlihan's next door has a wonderful small-plates menu (pot roast sliders, yum). Club Quarters is okay if the price is right and you don't mind somewhat cramped quarters.

Room Tip: If you can afford it, upgrade to a larger room.

This was simply a great place to stay. My room was spotless, comfortable, stylish, well appointed and...the endless, free purified bottled water is a sweet touch. Italian restaurant in lobby good. Location can't be beat. I'll be back.

On Wacker a few steps from Michigan, it's extremely convenient. Rode the train from O'Hare to the loop, and walked the 3 blocks. Easy and safe. Rooms are small but nicely laid out with huge, firm bed and no bedbugs. The window overlooked the Chicago River and Trump Tower across the way (with nice inside views at night!). Good value. I'd stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing Chicago River. Nice views.

I stayed here 4 nights. The first two in a very small room--two people would have overcrowded it. But, they warn you about the size in advance. For $20, I upgraded to a room with a sleeping alcove, siting space, and a kitchen area. That would have been fine for two people. The key cards didn't seem to work about a third of the time. That was annoying but the staff was helpful in correcting things. Location is excellent.
