“Tuesdays with Wolfgang-(Puck,that is)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

If you want to experience something" cool",go to Tuesdays on the Terrace at the MCA. Every Tuesday, you'll hear an example of America's classical music:jazz. The ambience is cool, the audience is diverse and the food is exemplary. Every week offers an example of summer recipes from different cultures, like Asian ,South American and American barbecues and salads ,as well as deserts. The drinks vary, according to the food focus.
Be prepared to pay for what experience; the buffet is $25 per person and the drinks aren't cheap.

“Family visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

This is a huge museum, a must see. To be honest I spent several hours there and only saw a fraction of what was on offer. Probably more of an adult experience but do get the headsets , it increases the pleasure.

“Excellent place to spend some time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

Both the photography and the exhibit focusing on life at home were intelligently presented and curated. I was lucky and got a great guided tour just as I arrived. I appreciated that the museum seems to incorporate a gender perspective and has a decent representation of women artists. The museum shop is wonderful.

“Waste of time.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

Its dissapointing to say this about contemporary art but we didn't 'get it'. First, if an artist needs to explain their concept and tell me what I am looking at than I believe they have not done their job as an artist to allow the work to speak for itself. Second, unbelievably they display an artist who deliberatly plagiarizes other artist's work. So we are presented with photos of photos taken by another photographer. This was most insulting for anyone who understands copyright law. We found very little of interest here and would recommend the Chcago Art Institute for anyone wishing to observe true works of art.

“Very few good art displays, the rest needs to be returned to the dump.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013 via mobile

The few true artists that have displays here should remove them ASAP as to not be associated with the rest of the junk on display. Many, not all displays, look as if they were thrown together just to occupy wall or floor space. The people of Chicago deserve a better contemporary art museum than this.
Example of bad art, old carpet hanging on wall (looks as if it was torn out of an apartment).
Example of bad art, pile of trash that could be found outside on the street.
Example of good art, comic book art and the photography displays. Also, the sculptures outside the building are good art.

The above is just my opinion and everyone's opinion should be voiced and not suppressed by a few.
