We had a lovely stay at the hotel this past weekend. The room was excellent and the staff was warm and inviting. I was all together thrilled with our experience including a massage at the spa. The spa was relaxing and service was good. However upon setting up the appointment I gave them my cell phone in case of any last minute changes. I also was asked for my email "to send the receipt" I specifically marked that I did not want any promotional information as I don't live anywhere near the spa.
However the very next day I received two voicemail messages in the room about signing up again - I hate voicemails and even more so from sales people on my vacation.
Additionally I have received three promotional emails - 2 pure sales and one feedback survey. Again my email was requested for a receipt. (note its been only 2 days since I left the hotel)
And the icing on the cake. Today I get a TXT message with another promotion.
This is so disappointing and offensive from what I thought was a nice hotel. Spending 15 minutes on my busy days at work un-enrolling from this spam that I specifically requested not to receive is unacceptable.
I am careful about giving my information but in this case I obviously missed the mark in judging the professionalism of the hotel.
