Nice hotel, and nice location. HOWEVER, the room was absolutely freezing. There seemed to be an issue with the windows. There was a draft coming through which they attempted to fix using what looked like paper towel or toilet paper between the window and the ledge. We asked the concierge to check it out but they didn't have an engineer on site. They assured us that they would send one up the next day, but that never happened. The thermostat was set to the highest temperature possible, and we still had to wear sweaters to bed! The fan in the room was so noisy we couldn't even sleep. I'm not sure if it was just our room or the entire hotel. In any case, DO NOT stay in room 412. After that experience, I would probably not stay here again. Very disappointing.

Day 1; Temp in the room was 85 when we walked in. Couldnt turn it down. Had to call front desk. Said we could turn off the fan, but apparently the "valve" was stuck on so it would only blow hot air. "engineering" came to fix it the next day. Day 2; No hot water. later that day, no towels at all anywhere in the room. NO JOKE. I REALLY needed a shower too because I couldn't take one in the morning BECAUSE THERE WAS NO HOT WATER!!!! Day 3; pile of hangers left on my bed. I have no idea why, and neither did the front desk. Day 4; they threw away my earplugs, thanks. Oh, nice view of the brick wall in room 517.

My husband and I have never been to Chicago and wanted to have the best experience possible, and we did! The Wyndham Blake was phenominal, from the amazing customer service to the property itself. The staff is amazing, especially the hotel manager, Adam, and the doorman, showtime. When we arrived to our room we got a call from the front desk asking if the room was perfect and if we needed anything, anytime we went to leave the hotel we were asked where we were going and given the best directions, coupons, and a cab flagged down for us. I really felt as if the staff treated all their guests as we were important. They were all so happy to help and very cheerful. The hotel manager, Adam, even took us to the greatest little bar where we had the most amazing time! The next night we were invited to a jazz club by the doorman, showtime. I have never had perfect service and perfect atmosphere at once but at the Wyndham Blake hotel in Chicago you really can have it all!
