Fairmonts are some of my favourite hotels, but this hotel exceeded my expectations. A much newer decor and building than the beautiful Fairmonts in Canada, the lobby was modern and trendy with interesting restaurants and bars. The central area was a chocolate and cheese-tasting bar! The rooms were modern with large LCD televisions and free Internet (for Fairmont club members - it's free!). When our travel agent failed to relay our requested upgrade to a suite, the Fairmont gladly obliged and even gave us the discounted room rate. The newer building also meant the rooms (even the non-suite room) were much larger than Canadian Fairmonts. The fitness center was fantastic with televisions on every machine including plugs for your iPod/iPhone! I would highly recommend this hotel!

Nothing to complain about at all. Gorgeous bathroom. Attentive service. Comfortable bed. Large room. Got a great deal on Priceline.

I stayed at the Fairmont for a few nights and found the whole experience excellent. I was given a very large room with great views of the city; the breakfast was extremely good; and the location was as central as I could have wished for. The pool was not large but felt luxurious and was great for early morning swims. In the evening I spent some time in the hotel bar with friends and that was excellent too. Highly recommended as a base for exploring Chicago.

We booked our shopping trip via Priceline as a vacation package at the Fairmont. We received round trip air fare and two nights stay for $256 at THE FAIRMONT. EVERYTHING was excellent. When our neighbors came home each night at 3:20 a.m. and decided to party, the front desk was called, and literally within five minutes the situation was handled and all was quiet. Too wonderful. Would highly recommend!

Although my room seemed to be laid-out strangely (optimizing every square inch), it was a beautiful experience. The staff is excellent, everyone very friendly and willing to help. Maids are very efficient.
