Who goes to Chicago in the middle of winter? WE do! Bundled up and braved the winds and took to the streets of Chicago. The best thing is there are plenty of places to stop. This location is great. This was our anniversary/hubs birthday weekend .Clean, classy hotel. Very quiet, was never distured unless we asked. We purchased the room/breakfast pkg. What a deal! Breakfast filled us to our dinner (Garrets popcorn for a late afternoon snack) We don't get away alone often, but this was a treat.Loved the room so much I just wanted to hide out there for a day, but had too much to see and do. Appreciated the added security of the second elevator trip (short) to the lobby. The room was very well maintained by housekeeping. My hubs had to leave his laptop up/out for work and it was safe. Rm service staff were beyond helpful. Going to make this work again for sure! Everyone from the door staff to the front desk were great and so much appreciated. Hope to see you again!!

Room Tip: We got to see a little of the lake and Michigan Ave. I don't think there is a bad view here

I stayed at the Omni for a recent business trip. The hotel is near the main shopping area in downtown Chicago. I had a comfortable suite. The bedding was great and the shower had plenty of power. I had dinner at the restaurant and it was great, limited menu but the food was amazing. I enjoyed this hotel and would stay again

The Omni is the perfect location for all things Magnificent Mile related! My husband and I were able to walk to many different locations, such as Cloud Gate, Millenium Park and even Navy Pier!

Also, the hotel has excellent customer service all the way from the front desk clerk to the housekeepers. The only downside is that the hotel room we stayed in looked a little dated compared to the rest of the property, but it was cool that you could crack open your windows if it got a little too stuffy in there.

I would definitely stay here again though, service is awesome!

My husband and I stayed here for only one night, on January 25, 2013 to attend 'I LOVE LUCY "show. We didn't want the hotel to be too far away and we do like trying different hotels. So I was curious about this hotel, we were greeted nicely by bellman and young lady at reservation desk properly. They all made us feel welcome and special. The deluxe king suite we had was ok, but my husband did notice some marks on the wall, later so did I, the bed was certainly not as good as the WESTIN's, but the service here was very good. They press my husband's shirt/pant slacks for the evening at short notice. It was done by the evening hosekeeper supervisor in which I thought that was truely nice of her to do and very much appreciated! We received complimentiary water delivered to our room, and when we needed a microwave to warm up our food that we didn't get a chance to eat(thats another review by itself), a female staff carried one up right away to our room. What speedy service and I left all of them a tip, cause I really appreciated the time and service that they had extended to myself and husband for only one night. Thank you

We spent a winter weekday evening at the Omni following a downtown concert. The staff is excellent - extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. The dining room was not yet finished with its renovation, so we had a cocktail and dinner (same menu) in a ball room area overlooking Rush Street. My husband had a perfectly delicious filet mignon and my lamb was out of this world. Kudos to the chef for choosing locally grown and secured items for their whole menu. (Since we are from rural Illinois where lots of things are grown and raised, we even saw some of our own local people's goods on the menu!) Our suite was spacious and perfectly appointed, overlooking Michigan Avenue. Bed extremely comfortable with excellent linens. We will stay at the Omni again the next time we go into Chicago for concerts and opera.

Room Tip: Be prepared to spend $54 for 24-hours of parking.

We’re glad that you were able to enjoy dinner at the hotel despite the renovations happening at 676 Restaurant and Bar. The renovation is now complete, and we hope next time you’re in town you’ll enjoy a meal overlooking Michigan Avenue. Also we have a parking package available on our website that provides a discount on the $54 valet parking rate.

Stayed here for 4 nights and it was fantastic. The staff was kind and always willing to help, the location is perfect and the rooms were nice.

The location can't be beat, it is right on the Magnificent Mile so you're never far away from shopping or some great restaurants (I recommend the Purple Pig). The hotel is also close to the subway, which is nice if you are planning on using it a lot, or if you are getting to and from O'Hare via subway (which takes about an hour).

Our room was really nice as well. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The only issue for us was that the people in the room next to us were extremely loud at 4am and it was easily heard through the walls... thankfully though they checked out after 2 nights.

Overall it was a great experience and we will for sure be coming back to Chicago and this hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay.

A little tip; If you are going to stay here, sign up for the Omni Select Guest membership. It's free and it gives you free in room wifi, and a complimentary drink (juice, tea or coffee) delivered to your room every morning.

Omni Hotel on Michigan Ave has location, location, location, and the service provided me was excellent. I had to book on short notice due to flight cancellation, received an enormous and updated suite with comfortable furnishings. Free wifi and a pleasant reception service rounded it out.

Only two items less than stellar: Oddly, the spacious and otherwise updated bath contained an old, tiny ceramic tub (1950s-60s type) that didn't match the rest of the room and was too small for a proper bath for anyone larger than a medium build. The Omni also has an odd entry/elevator system whereby one enters at the ground level, goes upstairs and then over to a reception desk, and then to an entirely different elevator in a different location for the rooms. Bag check is at ground level. If you're carrying bags, this is an odd dance to negotiate, and the reception to ground elevators (2) can become congested with traffic. Neither of these was a deal breaker, but a bit odd.

All that said, the accommodation was super and the price reasonable. I would certainly stay here again.
