This is a nice hotel with a great restaurant (Weber Grill) in the lobby. It is only a few block from Michigan Avenue.

The rooms were clean and had a nice fridge, microwave and flat panel HD TV. However, like every other hotel I've stayed at in my life the cable/dish channels have never worked at listed. I could not get CBS of FOX. The guy in the next room only got 13 of the channels. For once a hotel with beds that were nice and ones I could sleep, the A/C worked great too (whick is something you don't always see).

The pool was tiny and not worthy of a family or lap swim. The workout room was nice.
The best feature was the Jewel/Osco across the street, anything you needed right accross the street.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel on trip advisor. We like to hear from our guests when they have enjoyed their stay but also like to hear from our guests when they have encountered some frustrations.
We agree that having Jewel, Weber Grill and our great sleep system beds are great attributes for us, we also agree that when the TV channels or signal are not working properly it can be frustrating. We are working on a system now that we hope will eliminate the issue you encountered. Most downtown hotels, due to space, have small pools, but I hope you would agree the environment around the pool is lovely. If not, please contact me so I can gather better information on how we can make the pool area more inviting.

My stay is not yet over but, I've already had such a great experience that I'm writing my review. When I pulled up to the valet, someone was right there to send me on my way to check-in. At check in, I was quicky greeted by the bellman with an offer for bottled water. After a quick check in and look-up of my HH number, I made it to my room which was clean and comparable to any other Hilton Garden Inn. I ordered room service from the Weber Grill. My only gripe was a long hold time but, I called at peak time. Here's the great part: when my meal was delivered the staffer asked how my night was going. I responded that it was good except that I forgot my iPhone charger. He then offered to find me one to borrow and a short while later came back with a cord for me to use. This saved me the effort and expense of buying another one or going a day without my phone and contact with my wife, kids and work. Sounds a bit dramatic but, it really meant a lot to me. Well done Hilton Garden Inn Chicago on Grand.

While another reviewer noted that there is no street noise, my room on the 12th floor had so much noise from my neighbor that I WISH there would have been some street noise to drown them out. From the heavy sighs of frustration to them dropping their luggage on the floor....I put some music on before I heard anything else.

Rooms were dated but clean, and customer service was excellent! I just wouldn't stay here expecting a quiet stay.

Thank you for your review on Trip Advisor. I am truly sorry that we did not meet your expectations of a quiet night sleep. Unfortunately sometimes others can create a disturbance. The hotel has a zero noise policy and when the front desk is notified we give the guest one warning only. I hope the next time you are in Chicago, you will consider the Hilton Garden Inn Chicago and give us another chance.

I stayed here two nights with my parents and my boyfriend. Our room was clean but the beds are very uncomfortable. The location is great. The pool is clean but it has so much chlorine, more than any other pool I've ever been in. Our skin and eyes hurt after a 20 minute swim. The valet parking was great, the desk clerks and housekeeping staff were very nice.

Thank you for your review on Trip Advisor. I apologize that no one informed you about the self adjusting sleep system beds that will adjust the mattress to your comfort level. We normally get rave reviews about our bed. I will speak with our front desk about incorporating this into their warm welcome. We are also looking into the chlorine/pool issue.

I hope the next time you are in Chicago you will give us another chance to exceed your expectations.
