I always stay at Hilton properties and are seldome disappointed. My stay at this Hampton was exceptional. The staff in particular were all excellent. Everyone including the Housekeepers were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to any traveler as it is extremely clean, safe and convenient.

For my next trip to Chicago, I will definitely stay at this hotel.

Stayed at this hotel this past Labor Day Weekend. Convenient location with restaurants nearby. Only downside with location was a fire station across the street. I was on the opposite side of the building so a distraction at first but eventually got used to it and was able to sleep without any issues. I imagine my opinion would be different if on the same side of the street as the fire station. Room comfortable and convenient. A microwave and refrigerator would have been a nice touch. Free breakfast and internet were great. Hotel staff was excellent. Any request was taken serious with thought going into any response. The staff was friendly and customer service oriented yet very real at the same time.

We enjoyed our labor day stay at the Hampton inn and suites by the magnificent mile. Pros: veer friendly staff, nice lobby, nice room ( we had a king suite) that was big with kitchen area and nicely furnished, breakfast was decent, near the subway", nice pool and workout room. Cons: near the fire dept ( which wasn't a problem for our stay but could be), a little hike from Michigan ave but near lots of restaurants, elevators are really slow. We would stay here again.

We used the Hampton Inn Chicago for a business meeting place for my national / international colleagues. As the meeting was somewhat last minute, we were looking for assistance to execute the meeting with no hassles. Further, in this environment, we needed something at a reasonable cost. All of this was accomplished...and the thanks is owed to the responsive and friendly staff at the hotel that I dealt with. As I don't live in Chicago, calls and emails were promptly returned and addressed. Further, other staff were helpful in arranging transportation on two dinner events.

My colleagues were all complimentary of how the meeting turned out...and I owe a debt of gratitude to this team. Because of our success, we may now return to Chicago and this hotel to work with this staff even if we have all the time we need to plan our next meeting.

This hotel is in a great area, only a few blocks from Michigan ave and the Red Line Train. It is a very safe neighborhood...only Con: the fire station is down the block and although we heard 2 or 3 fire trucks a day, it never bothered our sleep. The rooms are pretty in muted greens and the beds are soft and clean. The hotel is very nice, with a great breakfast in the morning. The staff is just the best! Super friendly! Always ready to help. We even called down and had them bring up a fan for our room, which got there 10 minutes after we asked, at 11pm at night. One problem was the a/c in our room. We had it turned down as low as it would go, and the room never got very cool, however, with the fan, it was fine and not worth complaining about. THe room met my expectations in terms of being clean, although you can see some wear and tear. The elevators are pretty slow, but the other amentities made up for these small things. The parking was pricey: 42$ for hotel valet. Instead, I parked right up the street on the left accross from the Snickers bar. That parking lot is $25 for over night parking. If you get there after the night person has left, you can park and pay at Snickers. The pool area is also nice, and we used the hot tub on several occations after sight-seeing all day. WE would go down around 4pm for an hour, and be the only people in there. If we return to Chicago, and could get a good deal on the room like we did this time, I would totally stay here again!!! Its a great place at a good price!

3 blocks from the heart of Michigan Ave., 3 blocks from the river, 4 blocks from great blues - plus a very clean, comfy hotel with friendly staff and a more than ample breakfast - make this the hotel I will always use when I'm in Chicago! The only downsides were there wasn't a fridge in the room and the fire station is on the next block. But otherwise it's a GREAT hotel and I highly recommend it!

Stayed at this hotel labor day weekend 2010. This hotel has the expected Hampton cleanliness and amenities, and everything is recently updated. The difference is the staff. Every single one said hello and offered to help at every opportunity. But more than just being professional, they seemed genuinely happy to be where they were. That's an attitude that you can't train - it has to be there because they enjoy the job. I highly recommend this Hampton. Convenient to both the loop for business, and magnificent mile for shopping/restaurants. This will be my choice in Chicago in the future.
