“One of the best Zoo to visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

The zoo is easily accessible by bus and has a variety of animals that are well maintained. Great learning experience walking through the different area of the zoo. Will visit again given the opportunity.

“FREE! Nice walk with gorgeous views of the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

I visited here during early October when it was starting to cool down. The sun was shining,so that helped to keep us warm. The park itself is nice, with a nice variety of animals to keep everyone interested. The view of the city is really pretty. There was a wedding going on the day that we were there. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for something to do in Chicago!

“Love this zoo!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

My all time favorite zoo for many reasons. This is a zoo the entire family can enjoy time and time again. The free admission is a major bonus and it has pretty much everything any other zoo has to offer. If your in the area, its a must...

“Free admission!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

This is a nice Zoo that has free admission. Lots of animals including apes, lions, Girafs, etc. I actually used to live just a few blocks from it and I went there most weekends. You can buy coffee, food, and drinks at the food court or grab a pretzel or an ice cream if you feel like it. Bathrooms are nice and clean.
I must admit that going to the Zoo usually makes me a bit sad as I would prefer the animals to be wild and free but in this Zoo the one thing that really gets to me is how the Polar Bear seems to do the same thing over and over again...
But all in all a very nice Zoo!

“Best free zoo in the U.S. -- Very accessible to people with disabilities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Lincoln Park Zoo is one of the best family attractions in the city. Not only is it free, but it's easy to get to by public transportation and in very close proximity to lot of other attractions, including the incredible North Avenue Beach.

The zoo is not as big as Brookfield, but it has great exhibits and sits in a lovely setting. The restaurants are typical for zoo fare.

Parking is expensive in the lots, but people with disabilities can park for free along Stockton Dr., near the Farm in the Zoo.

The Zoo Lights festival is simply magical.
