As we often stay at the Hilton O'Hare Airport inn, we have dined at the Gaslight Club often, over the years.
Some items on the menu (calamari app. for instance) are very good for "hotel food," but then the kitchen can drop the ball too much for other dishes. Now, we have never had a bad meal there, but usually comment on what could have made each dish better.
The wine list is limited, but there ARE some nice offerings, like the Louis Latour Montrachet. OK, it is not cheap, especially for a Chardonnay, but nice with seafood.
I know that the Gaslight Club is working on a "theme," but I would love a bit more light, over the table.
There is a bar, and we now have learned to ask for seating away from it. The performers are good, but the noise level is a bit too much for quiet conversation. By moving toward the entrance, and off the main hallway, things DO quiet down.
Now, based on other "hotel food," much of that in the Hilton lineup, Gaslight Club is quite good, but with a few tweaks, could be better.
At least there IS a fine-dining option at the Hilton O'Hare Airport inn, and I would have killed for the Gaslight Club at the CDG Hilton Airport inn, a few months back!
