“Historic stadium in downtown Chicago”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

This was the first place we stopped on our tour of Chicago. We managed to get a tour of the stadium, which they only give a few times a month, and was very worth it for $15.
The exterior of the stadium is the only original structure left from the 1920's, it's a shame that they demolished so much history in the renovation, but they built a very nice facility.
Certainly worth seeing even if you can't get to a game or take a tour.

“Nothing else like it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

We made a quick stop at Chicago's famous Soldier Field and my initial reaction is that it looks like a spaceship landed on the Acropalis. It is definitely worth the time to visit this one of a kind football stadium as I cannot remember ever seeing such an interesting mix of architect . That being said it is an area that has a lot of grat things to do.

“Clean, fun, low-key fans”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Went for a Pack/Bears game (Go Pack Go!) and the Bears fans were super nice, which we weren't exactly expecting. I'd imagine fans of any opposing teams should feel as welcome at Soldier Field if we Packers fans did!

Good stadium w/ good views everywhere (especially nice seeing the lake in the background...if you're way up in the nose bleeds), warm bathrooms, delicious hot cocoa and small (really small) hot dogs (and not even Chicago-style!). Bummer on the hot dogs. Other than that, no complaints.

“Revamped”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

The venue got revamped a few years ago now. The "saucer" sitting on Soldier Field I really don't like. Yes, it added seats and added fans, but overall kind of unimpressed. It's hard to see the game or hear much of the action. The inside venues are nice.

“Great Stadium”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Get there early! Not for the tail-gating, which was only average, at best, but the history of the stadium and the great job they've done in displaying it.

Easy to get to by CTA and walk a couple of blocks.

This was the 13th NFL stadium I've been to and one of the nicest. By FAR the most expensive seating (and only playing the Rams). We were in the corner second row from the top and viewing was great. Not a bad seat in the stadium, but make sure you really bundle up.

I'd rank the Bear fans just ahead of the Cardinal fans (won't tell you what that rank would be, but I'm sure you could guess).

I'm a Canadian NFL fan, not a fan of any particular team, but if I was going to root for a team based on the fans, then Kansas would be my team (based on visiting 13 cities so far) hands down, not even close to any other team.
