“Worth a visit but consider your transport options!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

We arrived at the above by taxi. But had real issues when the above closed figuring out how to get back into the city.

The museum is beside a very busy road that pedestrians can't get across so can't walk back into town. Also no taxis were outside when we left.

A bus however runs up Mag Mile and seems quite frequent (146 I think?) for $2.25.

Just be aware when visiting!

Other than the above, a nice visit with loads to do. Worth a trip.

“Perfect Windy City spot...inside!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014 via mobile

We had a great time on our visit to the "WINDY" city in January and the museum was the perfect place to spend a cold day in the off season in downtown Chicago. It was definitely worth the cost of admission and the extras but I would recommend committing an entire day to visit this particular museum because of the many exhibits offered. We had to catch a train so we had to cut our day short about 12:30 pm when we got there at 9 and it seamed like only an hour we wee there. Amazing place to visit!

“If you have time(and kids), plan for at least two days....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

Chicago is a big city and you have lot of place to visit. However, if you are in a family vacation with small kids, this is an ideal place to spend your time. A day is not enough for me and my kids (3,7,11 yrs). In weekends you need to go there really early.

“Simply one of the best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

We planned our family day around this museum and could have spent several days exploring the museum. Our highlight was seeing Sue and seeing several of the awesome exhibits there. It was m 5 yr old's first trip and he was hooked after visiting the museum and several other attractions in Chicago.

“Excellent museum!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

Go early during peak times as line ups form early in the afternoon. Some exhibits are clearly old (animals) but still appreciated by adults and children alike.
