“Fun for the whole family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2009

I used to visit this orchard as a child. Always had a great time picking apples from the dwarf trees.

Recently visited with my young son for some family pumpkin picking. We had such a great time! They have really expanded the activities. There is an area for little ones to play, animals to pet, horse riding, corn maze, and, of course, apple and pumpkin picking. My son loved watching the goat cross the bridge to the barn.

best part....all the attractions are FREE!

“Don't miss..fun for all”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2008

We visit Curtis Orchard several times a year. Put this place on your "must visit" list. Great place for families especially in the fall on the weekends!
The staff is friendly and helpful, smiles all around from visitors as many come to take in the corn maze (one for young children and one that is much more challenging), pony rides, live music, apple picking, arts and crafts, petting zoo, playground area, pumpkin patch, wonderful lunch and dessert items at the indoor café. ALWAYS IN DEMAND are the freshly made apple donuts and apple slushies. Everything is made from “scratch”. You can also see many places of business holding their work parties there for their families. Don’t forget to come back and pick out your Christmas tree and all the trimmings! A definite must see when you travel to Champaign County.

“The apple of my eye”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2007

3902 S Duncan Rd
Champaign, IL 61822
Open July-December

Curtis Orchard is a place that we locals look forward to every year. It's acres of fun in a family-friendly setting. During the summer months, this Wizard of Oz-themed orchard offers early varieties of apples, peaches, some produce and bakery items, but it's in the fall that things really get rolling. Stop by on a sunny autumn afternoon and chances are that you'll have a very difficult time finding a place to park. Besides apples (both pre-bagged and pick-your-own) as well as pick-your-own-pumpkin in the 20 acres of pumpkin fields, Curtis Orchard also offers a petting zoo, tours, and other activities especially for children but some that adults would enjoy as well. On the edible side, the orchard offers a variety of pies, cobblers, and out of this world cider donuts in their newly-expanded cafe (named the Flying Monkey cafe) as well as their house brand of cider that is refreshing and delicous, and cider slushies are available too. Plenty of items available to take home for gifts or to enjoy yourself.
