“for ancient history fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

Stone and mud remainings of scytho - partian city. Small museum inside with around 8-10 cabinets with some exhibition and well described periods of the city development. It is the place for history lover but if you expect some nice and picturesque views you will be disappointed. Of course you have there a nice panorama on Indus with wild camels if you are lucky, but nothing else. The entrance fee for foreigner is 200 rupies. At the site you have a plenty of remainings of old dishes or vases. From this point of view place is unexplored and needs further excavations and generally some care.

“Interesting site but not well-preserved”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2012

Worth a stop en route from Karachi to Thatta. Has some ancient archaeological ruins, though these are not particularly well-preserved. It is also said to be the place where Muhammad bin Qasim disembarked as he brought Islam to the Subcontinent. There is a small, interesting museum attached. There is a single squat toilet for each gender, which though clean, does not have soap or paper, so be prepared.

“Alexander the Great's last city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2008

Next to the mouth of the Indus river this was a strategic city for 1500 years until the Indus shifted. Felt like Indiana Jones and found pottery and coins a thousand years old. And nobody else around - completely deserted.
