“You get what you pay for”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

We stayed here while hanging out in St. Louis with our two small children over a weekend. It was a very short drive to the arch and in a small town next to a gas stations and some stores. I felt safe their so that was not an issue. The hotel looks like eveyother Comfort Inn & Suites Lobby. The rooms were messy, comforters where very wrinkled and messy, one of the cushions on the couch was in backward. It seemed pretty clean as far as everything else went. No mold or build-up in the bathroom and the floors where vacumed but needed a shampoo. DO NOT USE THE POOL. It was really bad. Green and black buildup ALL OVER the sides and steps, one of the worst pools I have ever been in at a hotel. The breakfast was better than any other Comfort Suites we have stayed at and it was clean. Twice in the middle of the night the air conditioner started making REALLY loud noices and woke us up, that was very annoying. So, overall I will not stay here again. I would rather pay $20 more bucks and it be neater and cleaner with a pool I can get it and not worry about catching a disease. I will say that if you have no plans to swim and you are on a tight budget its not too bad but far from great.

We had two suites. One for us and one for our girls. The front desk was wonderful, the rooms were clean and this was very close to downtown.......GREAT PICK. They even helped us find a coupon for the restaurant we chose. Definitely come back here next time we stay in St. Louis.

My family and I stayed there last weekend as opposed to staying in downtown St Louis. We had excellent service from the moment we walked in to the moment we checked out. All the guest service agents were friendly, helpful, and always had a smile on their face. It was obvious that it was more than just a job. Our rooms were large and clean. Some minor maintenance issues, frayed carpet, face place on shower faucet loose, other than that it was fine. The safe was locked in both my daughters room and mine. The safe in both my daughters room and mine were locked. When I asked the clerk the code to open it, she did not know. She promptly called some one who knew and had the safe unlocked with in minutes. As a Choice Hotel employee, I tend to be a little over critical of the conditions and staff. I was very pleased with it all! I must add that the breakfast attendant was also very pleasant, clean and helpful. A rare find in a breakfast attendant! I will stay here anytime I am in the St Louis area. Thank you management and staff for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from elevator, vending, and ice machine, especially if you are a light sleeper.

We stayed here Wednesday and THursday night. The queen suite (128) was awesome and the staff was unbelievable. Maria and Kim at the front desk were so friendly and appeared that they "wanted" to be there - weren't just there for a job. The lady in the breakfast area (I forget her name) went over and beyond as well. Our son asked for more waffle mix and she not only got him the mix, but made him a waffle. THe hotel was very clean and just overall gave you a great feeling. The next time we are in the area, we will definitely stay here - within minutes of all the area attractions. I can't say enough about every staff member that we encountered. Great job Comfort Suites - you deserve a pat on the back.

This hotel was very easy to access from the interstate and was very convenient to downtown St. Louis, including the Gateway Arch. Our room was clean, although the shower head could use replacing and the ceiling above the shower had some visible mildew spots. The beds are a little soft for my liking but are not too bad. We stayed two nights and had no real problems. The girl at the front desk when we checked in was nice, but not very helpful when I asked for suggestions for eating near the Arch. Breakfast was hot, including eggs, sausage, sausage and gravy (which was just ok), and Belgian waffles in both original and a "flavor of the day". Checkout was quick and easy, although it would have been nice to have a bill under the door in the morning instead of waiting.

Only 10 minutes drive to St Louis city centre / Gateway Arch. Quiet location yet walk across the road to shops. Fridge and microwave in large room. Comfortable bed. Bathromm very clean. Lovely indoor pool. Hearty breakfast. Warm reception and service. Parking available. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel while spending one night in the St. Louis area for a quick family trip. I used Trip Advisor to find the highest-rated hotel in the Comfort/Quality brand in the St. Louis area - and this was it. Our room was larger than many other rooms these days and included a fridge and microwave. The hotel was clean, although there were little details that would make it seem much cleaner (i.e. like making sure all the glass on doors is clean of finger prints, etc.) I could tell that some of the rooms allow smoking as there was sometimes a smoke smell lingering in the elevator. Our room did NOT smell smoky however. The breakfast area was very busy in the morning and included the usual yogurt, cereal, milk, toast, waffles, juice and coffee. The fruit was a bit lacking (would have appreciated some bananas) but overall this is what you would expect and it was nicer than many places where I have paid much more (points or otherwise) for a room. We would likely return to this hotel when visiting St. Louis again. It's easy to get into the attractions (Forest Park, Arch, downtown) from this location and this place offers a good value. The indoor swimming pool was the warmest pool I think I've ever used. All the staff I interacted with were friendly. A full-service grocery store and a Wal-Mart are both right across the street from the hotel, which is convenient.
