4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

We were greeted with a smile and hearty welcome. Reservation was handled promptly. We used our Marriott points and assigned a first floor room. As we were settling in we heard the heating unit come on and it had a buzz in it. Did not want to listen to that all night long, so we went to the front desk and requested maintenance to come and repair. Since it was the weekend no maintenance was available, so we were immediately offered another room on the first floor and assistance moving our luggage if we needed it. Room was comfortable and quiet. Good nights rest. Only lacking item was the selections on the breakfast venue. Have seen better at other Fairfields.

Stayed one night for business. The hotel is clean, wi-fi is good, free basic breakfast, and service is good. Nothing spectacular, but good for the area and up to par with most similar brands. One note: unfortunately there is NO GYM at this location. They offer a trade with an outside gym a few miles away, a one day pass was $5 and I had to show my room key.

We had been traveling for hours and the day before Thanksgiving needed a room without a reservation. We had a coupon for this hotel and they took it with a smile. The published rate was $90 even on AARP and we saw good reviews so wanted to stay there. We got the room for $65.99 with a free breakfast. Room was spotless and the staff very friendly. There was a great restaurant within walking distance. We will stay there again.

Room Tip: We always stop at the visitor areas and pick up the room coupons some hotels are good about them oth...

Stayed here on August 1st as part of a 2-day trip to the Chicago area to attend Bears camp. The hotel was in pretty good condition for being one of the lower-end Marriott chains. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, there was a swimming pool on the first floor and they had good security. I didn't partake but, they also have breakfast every morning. What I really like about it was the location. It is right off the highway for easy access. It's about a block from Denny's and IHOP and restaurants like that, and it is a quick 5 minute drive to Olivet Nazarene University, where the Bears hold camp. The staff was extremely friendly. I would recommend this hotel to almost anyone, except for a romantic getaway (LOL).

Room Tip: All depends on what you want. If you want to be close to the pool, ask for first floor. If you are...

All staff was extremely friendly and remembered our names (we stayed 4 nights). Good breakfast selections and always re-stocked. Decent pool and hot tub. Clean rooms but a couple things needed fixing-coffee maker, dust/crumbs in air conditioning vent. Also a bit noisy, you can easily hear people walking above you and doors opening and closing at night when trying to sleep. Biggest disappointment: they had no fitness center.. not even one treadmill or some free weights! Overall very accommodating to our extra requests for a crib and early check in but need some updates :)

I've stayed many places while traveling with my son's baseball team. This time we stayed in a different hotel from the team. The front desk staff was so helpful & friendly, especially Jerri! The housekeeping staff did a great job & always greated us warmly when we passed in the halls. They even shared their pizza party with us in the lobby one day at lunch time. I thought the room was very clean. They even cleared a clog in my bath drain that I didn't even notice, but my son & the housekeeper did. It is located in the same parking lot as the mall so there are many restaurants & places to shop. The pizza at the restaurant right behind the Fairfield Inn, Tucci's was pretty good. My son commented that the hallway smelled like soap, which is a lot better than what other hotels smell like. The breakfast was good, not a huge selection, but enough to keep us full. The bed was comfy. All in all an excellent stay.
