My usual dining partner (my wife) and I finally took the opportunity to try out Meatheads at the recommendation of several friends. Arriving on a Tuesday just before the dinner rush we were served quickly and politely. We shared with our server that we hadn't been there before and he was very helpful in explaining the menu and drink options. (More on the drinks later) I had been advised by a friend to try the Hawaiian burger with Cajun fries and Cyndi had the Texas Ranch with regular fries. Since I ordered my Hawaiian with everything there were sliced jalapenos in addition to bacon, cheese, bbq sauce and of course pineapple. I was concerned that the jalapenos and the cajun fries would generate too much heat but the peppers were surprisingly mild and the generous portion of fries just spicy enough. Cyndi's was looking forward to bacon and bacon ranch sauce in addition to the other toppings. The flavor did not disappoint. The only problem with both sandwiches was the bun. Although the bun was better than the average fast food bun it didn't quite hold up to the juiciness of either sandwich. A hardier bun would improve the sandwich. On a positive note the drink selections were a fun change of pace. Of course there are the standard Coke products but within each product there are available several flavorings to be added if you wanted. I had an orange flavored drink and refilled with a raspberry. Cyndi (staying inside the box) had straight Coke. The restaurant itself was clean with background music that wasn't too loud (kudos to whoever controlled the volume). We'll be back to Meatheads to try different sandwiches soon.
