Went to Jim's on a Sunday evening (big mistake), to celebrate a special occasion with 5 guests, based on the reviews on this site. What a terrible disappointment. There were a few customers in the bar area and the large restaurant area itself was deserted. This should have been the tip-off. Although the service was pleasant the food was awful. The bread was stale, the baked potatoes had been sitting in a warmer for a long time (more steamed than baked), and the steaks were, undersized, overcooked (medium rare is not the same as medium-well), expensive, and hardly befitting a place that calls itself a steakhouse. Perhaps the meals are better on busy weekend evenings, but Sunday is not the day to dine at Jim's. If they were honest about it they would simply close the restaurant on Sunday evenings, only serve drinks at the bar and not pretend to be open for dining. It certainly was a memorable evening for I will remember not to dine at Jim's ever again.
