We just stayed at the Cowboy Roadhouse Lodge for 3 nights and had an enjoyable stay. This motel was our home base to explore Jackson, WY and Grand Teton National Park and then move on to West Yellowstone. First of all, be warned that the hotel is NOT located at the address that is on the website and all of their correspondence. In fact Mapquest and our GPS didn't even recognize 381 Agate Avenue as an actually address and there are no hotels on that street. To find the hotel, simply stay on the highway into Victor and look for the two story building with the white Christmas lights and a "NOW OPEN" sign. We arrived around 9:30 in the evening and the office was still open. We were directed to several eating establishments nearby that, to our delight, were still open and good. Our room was large, very clean, and very plain (there are no decorations on the walls of any kind) but looked almost new and even had that "new house" smell. The motel is located in the middle of a cow pasture and we saw horses grazing and mountains in the distance from our window. I thought the king size bed was reasonably comfortable. My husband thought it was too firm but he has back problems and says that about just about all hotel beds. The bathroom was clean, with a good supply of towels, washcloths, soap, and shampoo, but no hair dryer. There's a directory in the room with an extension list for every room and even instructions to dial '0' for the front desk, but there are no phones in the room. We thought that was a little odd. Maybe they haven't been installed yet? There is free, fast wireless in every room which was nice.
