If you want a place to lay your head for a night, this was fine. however, they need to vacuum! all the halls, stairways, and the room floors were dirty and needed to be cleaned. the room was very small. lots of space to put luggage, that was good.

what is the difference between a Motel 6 at 45.00 and the Holiday Inn at a government rate of 60.00? the amenities of course. smaller room, cheap linens, no travel size luxuries provided, one small bar of soap. small tv, small sink area with nowhere to put your own things for the bathroom. I will say it was clean in the bathroom. the bed was comfortable although there were suspect hairs on the sheets. they may have been changed, but it was hard to tell if the housekeeper just sheds while they change them. the coffee bar in the lobby was good. great air conditioning. there were burn marks in the bedspread, and no "do not disturb" sign to put out. the pressboard furniture was peeling. there was some noise around 9pm but rest of night was okay. no breakfast included at all. no kleenex, no iron, no hair dryer. I would pay a little more and stay at a Holiday inn if you are traveling on business and if they will honor the government rate. I don't know if there is one in Sandpoint.

We stayed at the Motel 6 in Sandpoint for 1 week in March 2005. We came for a funeral. The staff was so kind and accomadating. The room was exceptionally clean with a microwave and refrigerator. Even though our trip was not pleasurable, the Motel 6 made it a bit easier! We tell everyone here in Sacramento how nice it was up there and we highly recommend it. Thank you all!

On May 20 we stayed and found that as we turned down the covers there
was cracker crumbs in the bed. When we went to use the refrigerator we found food left behind. And finally in the bathroom there was a women's
hair tie on the floor and scumb on part of the back of the tub. I wrote to
them about this condition on the 22 and it is now the first of June and
they still haven't answered.
