We have just returned from a 17 day road trip holiday in Oregon, Montana and Idaho which was truly wonderful. We stayed in many bed and breakfast accommodations during our stay but one of the highlights was our one night stay in Church Street House Bed and Breakfast in Sandpoint, Idaho. Everything about this beautifully restored Arts and Crafts house was perfect. Our hostess Heather, was warm and welcoming from the very first moment and her attention to detail was obvious but not intrusive. We wanted for nothing during our stay there and given its superb location on a quiet street but close to all the town's restaurants, shops and bars we couldnt have asked for more. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented (see photo!) and served in a very relaxed atmosphere. You felt a real sense of family history in this house - something rare and precious. The house itself has been beautifully restored and Heather and her husband will happily tell you all about its history if you are interested. The town of Sandpoint too is worth a visit. Lots of original shops and galleries, it's own microbrewery which we loved and plenty choice for good dining. We couldn't do it justice in the time we spent there. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this charming bed and breakfast to even the most discerning of travellers.
