Heather and Alan are wonderful hosts. Her breakfasts were always beautifully presented and 2- or 3-course events starting with juice and then a lovely plate of fruits, then on with homemade flakey biscuits and the main omelette or entree for that day. I visited during a very snowy week. Alan not only shoveled the steps and walks, as the city requires, but he cleaned off our cars, which was a great treat. It was below zero as I recall, so thanks Alan. A lovely fire was prepared in the fireplace so I could sit and enjoy a good book before retiring, and Heather usually provided a snack of cookies or homemade brownies, left on the pantry for her house visitors. Their home is comfortable, very clean, quiet, relaxed, and I always looked forward to coming "home" at night during my stay there while I was visiting Sandpoint. Also, you can walk anywhere from the house so don't need to drive the car. Sandpoint is definitely a wonderful town to walk around in. I'm sure you would enjoy your stay in Sandpoint and at Church Street House B&B.
