We have eaten at the Trinity each and every trip (an annual summer event) to Sandpoint, and always enjoyed both the restaurant and the fabulous view. Last summer, my son who suffers from quadriplegia, had to leave the restaurant in the middle of his meal and return to our rented home, because there was not an accessible washroom in the restaurant, nor in the Best Western hotel located on the same property. I wrote many a letter - including to the Governor of Idaho, the Mayor of Sandpoint, both business owners, the landlord of the property etc etc.........and yeah! - the owner of the Trinity followed up, and has since renovated to include a barrier free/accessible washroom for guests who require same. For the obvious reasons - good food and location - I would encourage everyone who visits Sandpoint, to dine there or go for a mid-day drink at the bar - and support a business owner who also has a sense of social justice and equality, and responded to a request so people who are differently-abled will also be able to enjoy!
