I stayed here several times a few years ago. I don't recall any major problems then, but I also don't recall anything sticking out to say that this was THE place to stay. They have done some work at this place though. I don't recall it having a pool then, but it does now. The pool was great. A very nice addition. The WiFi is also a nice addition. Obviously some years ago, they didn't have it, but they do now and it worked great. Be sure to get a room on the river side when staying here. We were right by the pool, but because we were on the riverside we didn't have any noise problems. The front desk staff was pretty nice. Check in was smooth, no problems. We had a problem with our remote for the TV, and the lady working the desk came to our room with a handful of remotes to try out. The check in area smelled heavily of smoke when we checked in, but when we went to breakfast, it was no longer around. The website says they have a limited number of smoking rooms available (which is great, 0 would be better). We didn't see any, but we also didn't look at every door. The breakfast is your average continental breakfast. Nothing to write home about, but also nothing to complain about. You get yogurt, hot cereal, cold cereal, fruit, bagels, toast, etc. Some people would say the decor is dated, but that didn't really bother us. We just need a clean room, clean bed, and services delivered that are advertised. From that list, they delivered. The short comings that we found were that the room (single queen) only had 2 very small and thin pillows. We didn't ask the front desk for more, but I bet they would have given them if we did. The main problem we had was the thin (VERY THIN) walls. If you have good courteous neighbors, this won't be a problem. At night, our neighbor turned on the Olympics and had the TV blaring. Because it was so loud, they had to talk loud. So we could clearly hear the opening ceremony as well as their conversations. This wasn't a HUGE problem though, because it was relatively early and we weren't going to bed yet. The big problem came the next morning. Promptly at 6 AM, they turned on the TV to CNN or something and had it turned WAY too loud. One possible cause for the loudness might be the fact that the room had a door connecting our room to theirs. I believe their TV was just to the left of the door (from their side) and our bed was just to the right of the door (from our side). Because of the locations the sound must have been coming through the doorway with little to stop it. So, the thin walls could make or break your stay here. Had the walls been thicker and we had better neighbors, I would have given this place 4 out of 5.
