“Chinese American Food like we grew up with”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2012

Dining out when I was a kid was a rare treat. Chinese food was always a delight, and it seemed so exotic to have chow mein ,sweet and sour chicken, soup in a decorated bowl, called egg flower. It was always topped off with a fortune cookie that we always ate before we even looked at the fortune...what ever that was. Pretty heady stuff for a kid in the early 60's. Dining out has changed, food has changed, but the Golden Dragon is the place you remember as a kid. There is a menu full of meals listed by letters of the alphabet. Plates of sweet and lemon chicken BBQ pork, and mongolian beef. Fried Rice ,white rice, pot stickers . You name it. Tea is the regular beverage, but adults can get a beer, or a glass of wine. The service is excellent, the food is really good. For the 60's generation this will be a trip down memory lane. For the current generation it's a fine place for good simple americanized chinese food.

“Ok but I like Vietnamese or Thai better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

This is your standard small town Chinese joint. The booths are worn and not very comfortable. The food is just so-so, full of MSG (which I request left off) and salt and on top of crunchy noodles. The veggies are overcooked and the meat almost non-existent. I had three shrimp in my $9.00 Pea Pod shrimp.

“AMAZING food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2011

this looks like a hole in the wall, but it has by far the BEST won ton soup I've ever tried! And their house "chow mein" which is chopped celery with some type of chicken broth thick sauce is also amazing! And it's just celery! Go try it!
