“Room smelled horrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014 via mobile

This is supposed to be an all non smoking hotel but my room smelled horrible with a strong chemical smell trying to cover it up. I wanted to change to another room and the front desk person wasn't helpful in a timely manner. I will NOT stay here again. They also don't have an elevator.

This hotel ticks all the boxes. Most people know what to expect from the Comfort Inn chain, so there are no real surprises. But here they do their business well.

Friendly and efficient check in from Andrea, clean and spacious rooms, good breakfast area, nice pool and hot tub. There was little corridor and no traffic noise, so sleep came easy. Parking was easy, and gas, convenience and liquor stores a block away.

Parking was plentiful and there were a few dining and fast food alternatives within walking distance. Plus a couple of nice touches- hot cookies at night, 24 hour coffee in the lobby and a choice of pillows.
Negatives? None really, but we were surprised that there was no guest laundry...
All in all, we'd stay here again.

This smallish motel is 20 years old, but has been well maintained. Good beds and clean rooms. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. And nice hot breakfast...all in all, a convenient stop for a good night's rest.

One of the best Comfort Inns we've stayed at. For a price about $10 cheaper than the Super 8 across the street, we claimed this nice King Size Bed Room. A comfortable, roomy, and large room with a desk and lounge chair as well as a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee. I love the lamps with simple on/off switches and plugs for chargers and computers. One at the desk and on both night stands.

The bed is wonderful. I'd take it home, but it won't fit in the car. Six pillows, three soft and three firm to match everyone's taste. I slept like a log all night in a bed that wasn't too soft nor was it too hard ... which is often what we get at hotels. I rarely get a great night's sleep in a hotel because the bed is strange, but I snoozed the sleep of the angels here.

Excellent buffet breakfast and even cookies and lemonade at 8 PM. I would definitely put this hotel on my best of list. Staff was friendly and helpful and the stay here was delightful.

The location is in the middle of several other mid-price-range hotels. Right off the Interstate and convenient for overnight stays.

Room Tip: They give a 10% and even 15% discount at nearby restaurants by just showing your room key.

The Comfort Inn is located just off the I- 15 and within walking distance of several places for dinner ( nice after being in the car all day) . Many thanks to Lawanna on the front desk. Check in was very friendly, pleasant, and informative about dinning spots. Breakfast was hot and more than adequate. ( nice touch with hot cookies and juice at 8:pm.) Rooms were very clean, beds comfortable. Would stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms away for the parking lot are vey quiet.

Avery good experience. It started with Lawanna (front desk). Her attitude was perfect. I was greeted for being a platinum member and she actually made me feel like an old friend. I look for a high shower head for I am tall and as a lite sleeper I try to get away from other guests. This time all was just right. and she was helpful finding answers to food and shopping. I asked if she could ask the night auditor if he could have some OJ for me because I usually check out around 4 AM and he was very pleasant...polite and wanted to know if I wanted sometime else to take with me...I believe his name was Bruce. Kudos for the management team in finding and keeping people like this.

The staff was very friendly on check in and check out. The room was comfortable and the breakfast more than adequate.
My only complaint would be that my room had a strong smell of cleaning solution or laundry detergent (sort of that cheap hotel smell) that wasn't bad enough to change rooms. But, it made me wonder if it was just extremely clean, OR, was it to cover up another smell.
I would stay here again. However, if the smell of the next room is like the first I would probably try the other guys next time.
