We were a family traveling with a dog and that scenario narrows hotel selection a bit. We were tired of driving and saw they took pets. Back in the day it looked to have been a nice hotel but it looked as if no remodels have occurred since. Our room was on the ground floor and we had a sliding glass door in the room and could access our veicle from there. A nice touch but the curtain for the door had a tear in it and had for some time. The sliding door was difficult to open and the latch was broken (they had a bar to prevent unauthorized access). The bed was not comfortable either. Other than that, everything was great!

“Bad --- stay away from this place”

Ramada Inn Pocatello

Jan 26, 2008

Rooms were old and walls cracked, bathroom from the 70's, dirty and dark room, hotel was in very unclean, night clerk was very very rude and unhelpful, did not have a rollaway, did not have an extra pillow, only 2 towels in the room, exersise room had 3 pieces of equiptment (looked like they were bought at walmart). Breakfast was cold eggs and waffles that looked like the machine had not been cleaned for weeks, and had to ask for a clean plate and for milk. Just stay away from this place.

“Wouldn't stay again even if free”

Ramada Inn Pocatello

Depressing rooms and the hallways were depressing. Smoke and stale oders in hallway of the non-smoking part. I was double billed and am still trying to recover my funds.

As a frequent traveler this Ramada was very nice. The rooms were clean - comfortable, The Contenental Breakfast was better than most but would have prefered the resturant be open and I would have paid for a full breakfast. The Resturant had pretty good food for Lunch / Dinner. The Staff was GREAT - Front desk , Resturant , Hou8sekeeping all were Very friendly and helpful.

We had previously stayed at the Ramada Inn, and chose to do so recently while traveling through. I soon found myself very displeased with the conduct of the clerk that was helping us to check in. We soon found ourselves in a unwarranted situation involving us as the guests and the front desk clerk. Trying very hard to remedy the situation with the front desk clerk we could see that we were not going to resolve this situation. On the counter was a card that gave us the name of the man in charge if we were not happy with our situation. The property management was contacted too see if he could help us. Apparently he didn't feel that we were respected enough to even return our phone call. We found out that he had asked the desk clerk to put the cards under the counter that had his name and number on to contact if there was a problem. The clerk also took her name tag off so we could not refer to her name. When asked about it she told us that her manager had asked her to remove them from the counter. It became apparent that they were not willing to work with us and that we were asking for alot, which involved changing a room to be closer to the rest of his family, and then for one that wasn't full of a very unpleasant strong oder. Finally we were invited to leave and stay somewhere else for the simple reason that he didn't want to accommodate our needs. We were not asking for anything that was out of this world. It was a very unpleasant situation. One that we had never encountered before in our travels. I soon become aware that this establishment didn't need us as their guests. We were treated very unfairly!

The new resting place worked out so much better for us because the place we stayed was wonderful. The front desk treated us well, our rooms were very delightful and we were very pleased to be treated as the "guest" of their property. I will always find myself as a guest at the Comfort Inn in Pocatello and would advise that anyone wanting to stay with an establishment that treats their customers respectfully to also stay there. The Ramada Inn was not at all accommodating to us, but did us a favor because we loved where we stayed.
