We've been to this "new" to Boise restaurant 4 to 6 times since it opened in the Village development. Like many business models, opening each new location, there will be growing pains. Staff training is a curve as well as some food consistency and control will be "bettered" by constructive criticism. Our first or second visit allowed us to enjoy, but inquire why the indoor fireplace glass was not cleaned of the "haze" which was the only thing out of character. Our last visit saw that this was no longer an issue.
What I was not pleased with this time was not the staff or its food, but the idea of which specials had been offered at seating, granted during the height of the dinner hour(s). After spending time enjoying drinks, appetizers and very good entre's, the dessert menu came. When we asked for a special that was on the list, we were shortly told that they had run out. Doesn't sound like a big deal, however I don't understand when most desserts will refrigerate or not and be perfectly fine the next day, remaining quite fresh and "no ones the wiser".........why wouldn't enought be made for perhaps "high demand". I know this sounds petty, but little things like this leave me with less than favorable marks for an otherwise pleasant experience.
