Stayed at McCall Holiday Inn Express in September 2007and was very pleasantly surprised. I knew that McCall is a fairly small town at this stage (it is growing, however, and I expect that some larger chains will arrive in the future) so my expectations for this property were somewhat low. The Lodge fits in well with its rustic surroundings and is much more substantial than the average Holiday Inn Express. Although the staff was not as helpful as we would have liked (their directions to a nearby location were not too precise and it took some time to get their attention), this stay exceeded my expectations and I would likely stay here again in the future. McCall, Idaho is absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend a visit there - the drive from Boise alone is stunning.

Check in was very fast, though the front desk person was not very customer service oriented. My room was cold and the heater didn't work, but they moved me to another room. Rooms are nice size, clean, and comfortable, though the upholstery on the chair in my room had two 6-inch tears. Really nice bed. Bathroom was larger than usual. The room was quiet. Breakfast had reasonable selection: cereal, pastries, biscuits & gravy, etc, but no hot items, unless you count microwaving things. Pool looked nice. There is a small fitness room with a few cardio machines and a weight machine. The wireless internet was down the whole time I was there. The hotel is convenient to attractions in McCall.

I would stay here again.

Went down to McCall for a night because of a job interview...

We chose The Hunt Lodge because it was in our price range and close to my interview.

Much smaller than it looks on the website (of course) but despite the size, the lobby was cute. *LOVED* the antler chandelier...
Our room was big, clean, comfy, and quiet. Couldn't ask for more for the price!

The pool and jacuzzi were warm and unoccupied (the jacuzzi was huge!)...

It was a very wonderful and fun stay... would stay here again and again!

My *only* complaint was that the lady at the front desk was not very friendly, and her manager was even less so. But she was helpful and speedy, nonetheless!

My family members live in McCall but we wanted our own gig so we took a room here. For a Holiday Inn its really a great deal and soo soo clean and well managed. Everyone seems to be running in all directions trying to solve problems and stay on top of your every need. I have been at 4 seasons that didnt work this hard. Lots of staff and not the usual silent humming of a coke machine you get at these kinds of places.

The room is typical but newish and very clean. Instant hot water. We were by the elevator which i worried about but it was a non issue so the sound abatement is pretty good.

They need more paper selections like the NY times or Wall Street Journal but their buffet is excellent and the coffee good and strong. It was supposed to end at 9.30 but we got stuff past 10. The pancake house across the street is bueno too.

Stay away from "deli's" and some fare in the area that look like its summer only. They just cant get food together very well here but some places like Crusty's Pizza shine. Try him and you'll like. Try father's place and the awesome brew pub but stay away from the rest. Trust me.

The location is great for this small mountain town. Right by the lake but dont be fooled by the "by the beach" descrip on holiday inn site. Its a big lake for chrissakes - but nice.

Take this for value over whitetail and then spend your money at Whitetail's restaurant.
