Pullman was full; we stayed in Lewiston instead. The Golden Oak had rooms still available so we booked a non-smoking room. It reeked of smoke! There was trash already in our trash cans when we arrived and the sheets didn't look particularly clean. An air conditioner hung precariously over one of the beds. It appeared the carpet hadn't been cleaned since 1964. The beverage machine was out of bottled water but kept our change. The shower was temperamental, but occasionally spit out a steady stream of hot water. But the biggest problem was in the fact that our room was not attended after our first night and our wet towels were left in a heap and we had to ask for more for our second night. The beds remained unmade and trash was left accumulating -- no maid appeared to be on duty. The fountain next to our room was lovely, however!
