by reading the reviews, I guess this place is just hit and miss, but it was definitely a miss for our stay. The owner is a lovely lady who we really enjoyed chatting with, but she is clearly overwhelmed running an RV park/"bed and breakfast"/bar/restaurant without much staff. The first disturbing thing is that the house is never locked and there are no keys for the bedroom doors, so they can't be locked while you're gone. Plan to keep valuables with you at all times. The bathroom was dirty, the shower had black mold in it, the sink area had dirty washcloths sitting on it, there was a tiny sliver of soap for washing hands and tiny bars of used soap in the shower. There was a pile of dirty towels 4 feet high from guests that had just left. We never saw Peggy again at the house after she showed us our room, and eventually we figured out we were "on our own." I had to search the place for soap, toilet paper, I ended up washing all the dirty towels myself because it was obvious nobody was going to come and clean up the bathroom. There weren't any hand towels either. The living room wasn't much better, it smelled, as did the rooms. The carpet was filthy. I saw a bug crawl across my pillow one morning. The breakfasts were great, and Peggy was very attentive at the restaurant, but as far as the "bed" part of the bed and breakfast, it was very disappointing. The rates are way too high for what you get.
